Welcome to the Freethought Forum
The lofty high Renaissance and marked mannerism. The heavy and ornate Baroque era, followed by the gentle Rococo. Harsh neo-classicism, rich romanticism, lush naturalism, stern realism, blurred impressionism. Heady surrealism, blockish cubism, postwar Dada, pointy-cornered art deco and cookie cutter Bauhaus. The winner of the 2001 Nobel Prize for Literature, Trinidad-based Indian writer VS Naipaul, gave up her participation in the European Writers Parliament, which will begin today. The foreign press gave wide coverage to the development caused by Naipaul's criticism of Islam nearly 10 years ago.
