Heh. The Navy can have that effect on you. When I was in, we had a Filipino cook whose favorite word was "GODDAMNFUCKINGSHIT!" It really was one word.

I can't really vote for any one word though, Beyelzu. For me, it's a toss up between "shit" and "fuck." They're both so versatile!

I voted for 'cunt'. I never used the word for anything until I saw Snatch, ironically. Now it's my favorite word to use to describe someone who pisses me off, regardless of their gender.

while I voted for fuck, I call my brother a cunt alot, ever since I saw trainspotting. I call him a "socalled hard cunt." I would use the phrase more often if only more people had seen trainspotting.

I can't ever recall using "cunt" as an insult. I haven't used the word much at all since I got out of the Navy. This may be a usage that is unique to the Navy, or maybe the military in general, but we used "cunt hair" as a unit of measure. A "red cunt hair" was even finer. Actual usage is comparable to the idiom "by the hair of my chin." So if a cunt hair is a close shave, a red cunt hair is even closer.

I've never heard that usage anywhere else, and I stopped using it soon after my discharge, because nobody else knew what I was talking about.

I use the unit of measurement cunt hair, but I could have picked it up from my borther who was in the army. I dont recall.

'Cunt' is an interesting word. I think it's much more commonly used in the UK and here in the Antipodes than in the US, and much more versatile. It's considered the must offensive word there is. In fact, I know numerous people who swear will casually blurt, 'Fuck this fucking shit right up its big motherfucking arse,' but who can't say 'cunt' without blushing. It's most common use is in referring to a highly objectionable man. But it can just as easily be used somewhat ironically. 'Do you like Jim?' 'Yeah, Jim's a good cunt.' In either of these contexts, it's not really any harsher or more offensive than 'fuck.'

But refering to a woman's genitalia as her 'cunt' or calling a woman a cunt is more offensive by several orders of magnitude. I'm not entirely sure why, but presumably it's because it carries such a strong suggestion of misogyny. Funny thing, language.

I voted cocksucker, though I usually use the cocksmoker derivative. Maybe it's just the creeping influence of Deadwood, but it's such a beautifully profane one to just blurt out. I love that short O sound it carries, as well. And on the lighter side, I also really dig bastard.

Meh... I like fuck. I mean, don't get me wrong. They are all good and useful and certainly there are occasions for all of them but 'fuck' is a solid, all-round applicable expletive. Good, short, to the point. Gets the job done.

I voted for "cunt" but I use it sparingly.

Favorite does not mean most used.

It's the linguistic equivalent of the H-bomb.

Unlike the usual fuck shit piss that you hear on the street, "cunt" preserves it's cuss value because most folks are not inclined to say it under ordinary stress.

Lately the word I seem to use the most is Prick. I think it's the hard "k" at the end that does it for me. I use this so much that I threatened to send a letter to my state legislature the single word "Prick" as the body.

This does raise another question.

Have you ever been so pissed that you made up a curse word on the spot?

Or is that a topic for another thread?

Not technically a cuss word, but it sure changes the direction of a conversation. :D

I probably just use the word fuck most. But I really should make a point to say "festering bloodfart" more often.

Cunt is such a delectible word. I don't think I've been elevated to that status since I was 16...but I've nominated a select few. The latest was the a-cunt-ant who works(fixes) the books at the building company that hasn't paid me yet.
