This is a barely related question, which is based on powerful presuppositions:

1. That we "actually need to change lightbulbs".

2. That (some comment-worthy proportion of) people "actually want light bulbs changed".

And, reading the actual posts in the actual thread, one sees that I (and others) have indeed focused on these presuppositions, asking to see what might be meant by them, and what reason there is to believe them.

So, to recap: That question is not "a topic". And its various contents have indeed been addressed.

And, it's nice of you spread the blame around for why IM can't produce anything but empty vitriol about people who don't change lightbulbs. But what you just said seems rather clearly false -- though of course I can't speak to that question, or what you imagine the point of the question to have been, irrespective of what it actually said.
