My daughter spiked a fever about 2 min into Beavers lastnight. She was up half the night. She is home sick from school.
She has a dentist appointment she can't miss at 1:20 this afternoon.
Ya its going to be a FUN day.

My neck hurts, and I can't take ibuprofen.
I slept in until like 9 today. Of course, I was really supposed to be at work around 8 or 830.

I was doing quantum perturbation theory all day and had to resort to a book of standard integrals when we got to the Zeeman splitting. And I am still behind in my problem sheets. :sniffles:

Bah. My bad day of the week was on Monday.
Today is passing beautifully. Even the traffic gods smiled on me this morning.

It's 1:45 pm and I've been up for hours, plural.
I have a million things to pack today for shipping and both the UPS and Purolator man will be here soon.

I went to a long meeting.
I went on the bus, and on the ride back home, the bus was full of screaming schoolkids.
Now I have a headache.

Today wasn't bad, slow like Friday's generally are.
Had our monthy aniversary/birthday celebration at work... pies and icecream :piewedge: :gnoshing:
Yesterday was the bad day. 4+ hours on the phone with a user and HP trying to figure out a printer problem. Fixed one problem and that created another but worse problem.
I hate HP printers (well the print drivers really)
Like Shelli, I went to work.
I misread Dragar's post: quantum whaturbation?
Other than that, a very normal day (σ=1.4).

Ohohohohoh! I get to add to mine!
I sliced my finger open in the cheese sliceer part of a large box grater!
Yeah for my Dad having the day off so he could come pick my sick daughter and I up so he could take us to the ER!
Woot! I have my first stiches!!! (Well ok in reality I've had literally hundreds of stiches, but they well all in my whoo haw and I couldnt see them so they don't count)
Oh Julie
You poor thing, that's awful.

Me too! As a result, I missed a meeting this morning that I totally didn't want to go to anyway, and since everybody in my office was still in the meeting when I got in, they have no idea how late I actually was. How lucky! :1thumbup:

I swear, for some reason, this struck me funny. I laughed for five minutes. Whoo haw! LOL.
As for me, I ran over a big black snake on the fork truck out in the pallet yard today. It came out from under a pallet, and I didn't have time to stop.
And, at 12:30 this afternoon, the 1/2 moon was bright and clear. Why is that, anyway? You can see the moon in the middle of the day. That always kind of freaked me out. I don't understand astronomy.

I wasn't concentrating, and downloaded a trojan. Then in the 5 micro-seconds it took me to realise what a fucking idiot I just was, it hijacked my browser.
A particularly nasty little mother fucker too, that pops up bullshit virus warnings, and wants me to download third party anti-virus software while trying to give the impression it is Microsoft sanctioned.
Maybe I'm stupid, but I'm not so fucking stupid as to think that Microsoft is hijacking browsers these days, and popping up different anti-virus ads every twenty seconds, everytime you get some malware.
I can just refresh my drive from an image, but it's been a while since I did a fresh image so I trying to hold off until I get some work out of the way, because I'll have to move a bit of data and reinstall some software.

It's bright.
I got a phone call at 4:00 this morning b/c of a problem at work. I've been working ever since, with the exception of a break long enogh to shower and actually drive to the office, and another long enough to drive back home. :chain:

I left for work ten minutes behind schedule but got there on time.
The weather was much nicer than forecast and everything at work went smoothly. I had forty hours at two and left early.
On Thursday, my finger got caught in a truck door but today it is feeling much better.
I found the cutest little King Ghidorah bobblehead at a store that just opened this week.
A CD came in the mail that I paid 25¢ (+shipping) for.
Everyday should be Friday the 13th (and Halloween) :vibes:
Ymir's blood, noted lover of all things dark, had (one of) the best Friday 13ths of all of us. The moral is clear!

Damn, I forgot to be superstitious. But stuff happened, Oh yes, bad stuff happened!
*My daughter was a bit feverish, but it worked out without me taking sick leave, as I had the evening shift at work and my hubby could leave his workplace early.
*Oh, oh, my son forgot his maths book home, and his teacher sent a note about it!
*I got in the wrong queue at MacDonald's. You know, the slower one.
That's sort of it, really.

my Friday the 13th was totally uneventful. The only worse thing about it was being cold all day long.
At least I started reading Dune for the very first time. Go me!

I don't suffer from biscuit-ick-a-fobea or whatever fear of Friday the 13th is called. I got off night shifts that morning, watched CSI that I recorded the night before, went to bed and slept until 2:00 PM. Got up, went out to eat, then out to a movie. To my pleasant surprise the movie The Departed didn't suck. In fact, it was rather well done.

Triskaidekaphobia is the fear if the number 13. The only reason I know that is because it's the word that got me eliminated from the state spelling bee a few years ago. I left out the second 'i'

Triskaid (biscuit) ek (ick) a (a) phobia (fobia). Pretty close.
I knew that, it was just another one of my lame attempts at humor.
It was very cute, Walter.
