Greetings one and all! I've been lurking as time permits which hasn't been much since I've been busy with the usual unsavory activities. OK not really, mostly helping out with the parental units' care and a couple of vacation getaways. Anyway, vm's thread and notation in bey's thread about employment being in the air causes me to announce:
After being mostly a layabout for the past almost-two-years (not totally - I did some work along the way for that documentary thing and some voiceover stuff) I have encountered meaningful employment once again starting next week.
I am going to work once again for a person that I used to work for, but on a freelance basis as opposed to the previous in-office arrangement. The upside to this new(est) arrangement is that I will be a) working from home b) requiring a much higher rate of pay and c) a new laptop :bliss: Also travel will be required with expenses paid. We worked together before and there were issues that needed to be worked out that have been definitively worked out, so I'm super excited. Even though it will probably be only 20 or so hours per week (not on a fixed schedule) I am looking forward to the added structure to my life, which has for some time now languished in the land of "what day is it?"
So here's to gainful employment!
