I've posted four dreams in my FF Journal (http://www.freethought-forum.com/forum/journal.php?do=view&journalid=36), some pretty strange, but none surreal. All of them were very vivid dreams, extremely life-like. If you have the inclination and time to read them, I would like some feedback as to what you think they might mean. It might be entertaining and educational at the same time. Thanks in advance.
OK, Warren. Do you want the interpretations in this thread, as journal comments, or as PMs? How about the "you are clearly a sick sock-fetish Republican" type of interpretations? (I have more on that one btw.)

Here is fine for everyone but you. As journal comments would be fine for everyone but you. And, by all means, don't PM me, Joe.

I went to your journal entries yesterday. I read about your dreams and I have been trying to come up with some really cool interpretation for you. I got nothing, nothing at all. All I remember of my dreams are just fragments. So I envy you for being able to remember yours.

A notepad on the nightstand is how I remember. It only takes a few lines of the dream written down and I'll remember it later. If I don't write something down, the dream fades and I can't remember it at all.
That is... until it comes true!!!!*
*This never happens, never.

That's odd. I've suddenly got new interpretations.
Presidential foot-massage
Obviously the trigger is the election fever. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that you may not be a closet republican and thoroughly disgusted with yourself. It's possible the Bush figure represents someone else: the obvious symbol is your father (cue Freud and Jung), but it could be another authority figure. (The outdoors, live oak, setting suggests an old-fashioned community/family context.) This is someone you support and feel strongly for, but you are ashamed of it because you think they are stupid, illiterate etc.
Did the socks smell bad?
Warrenly hates Christians who hate gays
You made this whole thing up. Too much detail, too topical, too close to things already discussed on this board.
Either that or you're a perfect-recall savant, a closet fundamentalist Christian, and vociferously anti-gay to cover up your own feelings which you cannot deal with.
War reporter skull
This has a feel of a hallucinatory dream, as you speculated, and may not have any emotional meaning. Presumably you've seen a lot of news from Iraq and consider the position of embedded reporters. But if it does have meaning, it's something like this: you're in a position where you're supposed not to act, and you're not trained to do anything about it, but people are suffering. You do act, and you seem to know what to do; you stop the problem but not without loss to your own people. Going out on a limb, I will speculate wildly that this is somehow about your daughters. Whether they're the US Marines or the Arabs, I can't say.

Now I realise why you don't want me to give you interpretations.
Car chase, woman chase
Stunning imagery; I especially like the powerful lights. This is good enough for a movie. But I don't think there's anything very surprising in this one. It's hard to see it as anything other than chasing a woman (or other women in general). The bends in the road are symbolic of the frustrations. The sky darkening is fascinating - you're feeling your age and the circumstances of your marriage. Of course you never catch the object of a dream chase.

That's odd. I've suddenly got new interpretations.Inspiration motivated by reverse psychology? Cool.

Either that or you're a perfect-recall savant, a closet fundamentalist Christian, and vociferously anti-gay to cover up your own feelings which you cannot deal with. No, certainly not, and I don't think so, respectively. This one wasn't a dream, it was a post about a current event raht hear in Okrahomely. It were satire.

Of course you never catch the object of a dream chase. And if you do, it turns out to be something ghastly. It could be worse, you could find yourself rubbing Dubya's feet.

BTW, I am a recall savant. Unfortunately the skill doesn't always work when I want it to and sometime gets in the way when I don't want it to. I've been blessed and cursed with a good memory.

I'm still thinking about this one. Don't know if I'll come up with anything.
Thanks Joe
It's a pleasure!
