From a thread on his old board:

It sure is relevant, if 39 out of those 40 kinds resulted from breeding experiments by the Satan-inspired Nephilim (scientists) of the time! God wouldn't be responsible for them, then, and I'm downright glad he killed them all off, in that case. Nothing good could come of a demonic horse (remember the Black Riders from Lord of the Rings? They still give me the creeps whenever I think about them).

I spent several hours at a mirror of his site this week reading and laughing my ass off, trying not to cry all at the same time.
Allan was one of the first people I ever talked to within the internet Atheist community.

I think that he died fighting and that he would have done anything just to breathe one more breath was quite a valiant thing.

That article was awesome. I had meant to read it when he was still alive. Sadly, I will never be able to give him ant feedback on it. I remember him talking about how people took that article seriously.

Hahahah! I rememeber when he posted that article on Sciforums. Many of the residents didn't understand that was a joke, and launched themselves into 'rabid attack mode'.

Liv,
To be fair, back in that day, sciforums was under constant attack from Creationists. I vividly remember being in constant debate with 3 Creationists at once.
So it's natural for many people to jump to the conclusion that Winace was merely another ignorant Creationist. After after, Creationists have put forward silly arguments that those in Winace's article. :D

Before this thread falls off the page, I have been meaning to post this pic. It's Allan with his older brother, Sergei, who died at the age of six.
I'm biased, of course, but I think it's one of the sweetest pictures I've ever seen (although the fashion is bad, admittedly, even for the late 1980s.)

They're so sweet hugging each other, and they look so much alike! Thank you for posting it, Jess. :squee:
