Someone posted this on another forum, and it's managed to consume most of my free time today. So I figured it was worth passing along.

Weffriddles (http://www.weffriddles.com/) aren't really riddles, but puzzles. Have a look at the first riddle, it'll explain the rules to you.

I'm stuck on level 17 currently.

Crap, I'm still stuck on 17. I'm doing my best not to cheat and look it up. (I googled 'weffriddles' to try to find some help with one, and stumbled across a forum that gives you the answers.)

The rules page is the first riddle. The answer is hidden somewhere on the page and needs to be copied the address bar of your browser.

Man, level 7 is a bitch. I think I have a reasonably full appreciation of the answer, but even so, I think I'm on the side of the people in the Weffriddles Forum who thought its logic ... less than compelling.

look at the filename of that picture and the clue given. Does it not make sense? Change the picture name and make it make sense.

Y'know, minus, I figured that out before reading this hint. I found the phrase and pasted it in and it does nothing but take me to a screen which says that addrees cannot be found.

The minesweeper game that comes packaged with Windows? If so, the thing to understand is that you are going to end up having to guess blindly at points. It's nearly impossible to beat the large map because there will end up being points where it isn't possible to deduce where mines are, especially near the corners.

It's just that notpr0n is probably the most definitive version of this kind of thing.

One of the most popular online puzzles is Notpron. Although it was not the first of its kind, it managed to become one of the most famous online puzzles on the internet.

qb: Yes, #19 is a pain in the ass. Hint for #19: The title of this one ("get out your pen and notepad") doesn't refer ONLY to figuring out the morse code. There's another application of that title that you need to use to get the answer.

If this hadn't been Thanksgiving week, during which I've had even less supervision than usual, I never would have gotten this far. I'm up to Level 46 now, although I'm still pissed off at 44. :shakefist:

BTW, Blake, 27 is nothing compared to 28. That one took me AGES to figure out.

But if you really hate 7, you might want to get out while you can. Some of them are downright diabolically difficult.
