... after I ran Roxy and her friend out of the spare bedroom. They were playing DDR (some sort of dance video game). DDR is a video game (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dance_Dance_Revolution) where you make dance steps to music and onscreen instructions. My daughter, Roxy and her friends are just nuts over this game. Since she started working a few months ago she's bought two of the game pads so they can play two at a time.

It's being used in at least 143 middle schools (http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/W/WV_FITNESS_OBESITY_GAMES_WVOL-?SITE=VARIT&SECTION=US&TEMPLATE=DEFAULT&CTIME=2006-11-23-13-58-59), for physical fitness, I presume.

Have you, do you DDR? Have you even heard of it?

I've never done it, but I've definitely heard of it. A friend of mine's daughter has been into for at least 3 years, and it's a pretty common avatar and emoticon theme too.

I've tried it but didn't like it. That didn't stop me from having a DDR avatar once upon a time...

I was in the DDR once. About 20 meters in. I got as far as the border guard post before being turned back for not having a German passport.

Not too many fortifications, surprisingly. Just a ditch and dragon's teeth.

I've never played DDR, but I do have StepMania (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stepmania) on my computer. It's DDR, except with the four arrow keys.

One of my friends is _unbelievable_ at DDR and SM.

I have DDR; a couple of different versions. We actually cut out a 3x3 square of carpet in my spouse's room to make a good surface for a dance pad. DDR is why my spouse and I both have PS2s.

It's pretty decent exercise.

It's kind of like Twister. Only for people who aren't lazy.

Twister on speed.
