Life ain't bad. It's a beautiful day. But my arse is getting bigger. Better ride my bike into town and leave the car here. :yup:
I need a haircut. Can't see a bloody thing anymore. Bugger. Wish I could afford a real hairdresser and get myself an up-to-the-minute, high fashion, million-dollar look. Oh, well, I'll just have to pretend I'm hawt regardless. Good thing I'm a great pretender.
Bootylicious, baby. All the way.

No need to apologise, babe - it appears to have worked. So, good shot! :D

I specifically avoided uploading any facial smilies. Yeah that's right. I said upload.

Going for a job interview I don't think I'm going to get. *shrugs* Blah.

My life is in the crapper right now. Nuff said.
Hope you get the job if you want it, Adora.
Watch where you point that thing, Warren.
Hoping Liv goes crazy about my commas, and posts something brilliantly cutting, to make me laugh.
Always love your hair Luna chick. You look fabulous!

You know how sometimes a PG-13 or even R rated movie will have some fucked up sex scene where no matter how much you squint and turn your head you can't pick out a specific body part amidst all the nondenomenational skin to save your life? I had a similar experience reading the forth sentence of Ex-zombie's post.
But that's cool; excessive comma use don't make me no never mind. I've been reading my cojana (http://www.iidb.org/vbb/showthread.php?t=106278).
Cojana rules.
Ex-zombie's Christmas avatar rules.
Cherry coke fucking rules.

Cojana should be a member here. I love that guy, too.
I'm in a love, love, love mood today.
Love is a many-splendoured thing. So sayeth Englebert Humperdink. :yup:

I was just notified that I passed my promotional exam for the rank of sergeant...while entrenched in a very unusual homicide case that is nearing point break.
If not for the date and time displays on my digital watch, I would have no reference at all to find a trajectory leading me to a normal life...too many hours awake and far too many red herrings and uniquely unexpected obstacles.
I have never been from such extremes of exculpatory to incriminating and...I'm liking it.
I honestly don't know ahead of the facts at this very moment.
A rare find for the likes of me.
I hope it lasts.

Congratulations, Ronin! Well done on your exam. :D
And may the work continue to be challenging and interesting - just how you like it. :yup:

Heh, it actually turns out I kinda "got" the job since it was really just a call-out from a tutoring-connection agency for more tutors for next year. So if a student wants a tutor in something I could possibly teach next year, they'll call me.
Still, I'm gonna be poor over Christmas.
Luna, you' hawt doll, chill.
The wireless optical mouse I bought duty free in Heathrow two weeks ago has already packed up.
I get paid by the hour and I'm booking a whole lotta hours atm.

You know how some plants and creatures have symbiotic relationships to mutual benefit, right? Like flowers and bees; clown fish and sea anemones; rhinos, tick birds...that kind of thing.
Well, what are the species that humans share a mutually beneficial relationship like those with? Where we're necessary, even?
Hmmm.

Okay so maybe it's not mutual benefit, but parasites need to live too, man.
Petra
11-28-2004, 06:04 PM
Nah, I'm only interested in mutualism, commensalism, or neutralism. Competition or parasitism just doesn't cut it with us hippy-types.
So I'm sorry, but the crabs will have to go.

Pinko partypooper, you are. Okay so how about intestinal bacteria?
Petra
11-28-2004, 06:27 PM
Mmmm....
I suppose you can say that intestinal bacteria provides much mirth and merriment by stimulating noisy flatulence.
Yeah, okay, I'll accept intestinal bacteria. But only at parties.
(Just to show that I'm not a party pooper.)

Pets are commensal with humans--if I am remembering what commensal means. Humans derive many benefits from pets--I believe it's been shown that pets can decrease stress and give people a purpose in life. Elderly people with pets tend to live longer.
And the pet animal derives benefits from it's human--food, shelter, often better healthcare, companionship.
Of course, this isn't an absolute relationship because humans can exist without pets and pet animals can exist without humans. But, both tend to have greater benefits when paired up.
Maybe this is mutualism instead of commensal.

(Just to show that I'm not a party pooper.)With the wrong kind of intestinal hitchhikers you may very well be a surprise pooper at a holiday party. :runaway: :volcano:
I don't know 'bout all you guys, but I know I couldn't live without my remoras. :shark:

Pets! I like it.
I have the neighbours cat. It seems to think it's mine and has totally moved in. Sleeps in my bed and everything. :)

It's like trying to start the lawnmower with the ripcord, but it won't start. I know this because it's a battle everytime I mow the lawns.
Well, I'm pooped. I might crash for awhile.
Have a beautiful day, y'all. :)

If male, he's suffering one of the depressing side-effects of anti-depressant medication.
If female, she's suffering some other kind of product quality problem.
