Hey everyone!

It's been about 3 years since I posted on a discussion board. I started on the Infidels, did quite a bit at the Institute for Unicorn Research, and then went to drama school and didn't have any internet access for ages. Three years on, I'm a recently graduated actor based in London, currently appearing as a Christmas elf in a department store while I look for "proper" work.

I found this site because I was kind of curious about what had become of all the gang on the IUR, and basically tracked Livius Drusus from her website entry on the Infidels to here, where surprise surprise she's reigning supreme as always  .

And looking at all the posts, I kind of missed the old days (old days? I'm 22 for godsake) on the infidels where I regularly spewed forth in text form, and I want it again. I'm an out-of-work actor (alas, sexually repressed no longer) in my early twenties in a frightening world of not enough cash, and that old urge for the safety of the discussion board is tickling my arse once more.

Technically I'm still a member of the Infidels and the IUR, but haven't posted there in yonks.

Nothing wrong with a smiley or two. And as long as I'm not hung over, I guess my eyes could just about cope with 3000+ of the little critters. But I wouldn't choose the smileorgy lifestyle myself.

Flaming... not for me. Although I remember certain people who elevated trolling to the status of high art... got any really good trolls here?

Every word's got a use, especially the vulgar ones!

In a deterministic universe, why has no meaning. In a universe run on quantum, why, and indeed chicken, has no meaning.

I pay for my food. Out of my hard-earned cash. Which I currently earn by putting on a green felt hat with a bauble on the end and pretending to be one of Santa's little helpers. I'm 5'11''.

I've always wanted to be blown up by a Dalek. I live in hope.

My favourite place in the whole wide world is a small village called Orellian at the top of a mountain in the north of Croatia.

Oh, Mendeh. Right. Back when I chose it I was just beginning to learn classical Greek. "men" means "on the one hand", and "deh" means "on the other". I couldn't make up my mind what to call myself, you see. And it kind of stuck. Now, I wouldn't go by any other name.

I will get me an avatar post haste. :yup:

Anyway, here I am, lovely to see everyone!

xx

Oh wow. I can't believe you're all grown up and graduated and unemployed and everything. It's nice to see you've lost none of your characteristically good-tempered wit.

Prepare yourself for a glomping.

:pounceglomp:

There. Welcome to FF, Mendeh. :welcome1:

Livius! Thanks for the glomph! Clearly I have to get my brain round a whole bunch of smileys. And with dial-up it's going to take a little while to find them all.

Hey Ceptimus! Thanks for the green man. Clearly this is a site that takes its animation seriously, it's got five fingers on each hand.

Can't wait to get stuck in now!

I wasn't around during the Institute days, but I've heard my share of tales from liv. :welcome: to the FF, Mendeh.

Hmmm...welcome, Mendeh.

Just don't go all mendacious on us and we'll be fine.

Just remember, Tom Hanks got his big break in the execreble "Bosom Buddies."

 Mendeh. I'll be over your way in a couple of months for work and bringing my wife along to visit all her family I stole her away from. Damn yanks! Always nicking the womenfolk. BTW, were you Mendeh at IIDB?

That's right, I was. I've been re-reading some of my old posts and thinking, gosh, they're rather strident...

There were two Americans in my year at drama school, and it now looks very much like they've each kidnapped an English wife, too. What can I say? Clearly you're all irresistable. Or our ladies are. Or both. Let's go for both.

Well, here's the avatar, chick! Finally got around to doing one. Only a few days of elfing left, thank goodness. I feel rushed off my feet!

No more damn elfing for me, thank goodness. One of the little horrors gave me a cold, as well. Lovely daleks, Dragar! Thanks Livius!

Aw, bless you all! I feel like I belong already. I do like cats. I want a nasty little ginger furball called Flymo. Seems like a good name for a kitten. I experimented with a little censored box round by this little fellow's genitalia, but frankly, who's ever noticed a penis on a cat? I haven't. Of course, I haven't especially looked for one. And my cats have always been castrated, so I've not seen any kittie bollocks either. But I live in hope. I'm sure they'd be very sweet little kittie bollocks. Maybe I'll add some to this little chappie.

So like a combination of your avatar and beyelzu's, huh? I fear to look, yet I cannot turn away.

When a male cat is not castrated what you notice most is the smell...

livius drusus

I don't know about that, Watser?. I've seen some pretty noticeable marbles on unaltered cats. Nothing comparable to rats, mind you. Rodent nads are a whole other proportion.

When a male cat is not castrated what you notice most is the smell...

But when you castrate the cat what you notice is the yell!
