That means "farewell with love, friends!" in Maori. :)
I found a place to live today, and will move on the 10th Feb as planned. Place isn't as nice as the other one, but it is better to live in a slightly crappy old place in a great area than a great place in a shitty or dangerous area - so despite the additional rent I will have to pay, I'm in like Flynn. Bonuses are that I will be between Lake Rotorua and the Blue Lake (:swimming: :fishing: :waterskii: ) and only about a 2 minute walk from my beloved redwood forest (:tree4: :treehous: :rundog: :climb: ). I'm also just around the corner from dad, so if I run out of food and stuff, I can just walk around to his house and hit Fiona and him up for a free feed from time to time. (Kids, eh! They never really grow up.)
I've cancelled my broadband account from this coming Saturday, and just keeping a cheap 30hrs a month dial-up connection so that I will have email to keep in touch with friends and family, etc - but it won't be enough to hang out on the internet like the good ol' days.
I'll get broadband again eventually, but my purse strings will be particularly tight for a couple of months or so, so who knows when that will be. Hopefully within the next 2-3 months, but then again it might be 6 months or so.
And even if I did have broadband, I still wouldn't have much time to enjoy it over the next month anyway, 'cos I've got a lot to do with Zoe starting her new school in a couple of weeks, packing up the old house and sorting everything out for the change over, and then unpacking in the new place (and me being me, I'll be near OCD cleaning the property from floor to ceiling and EVERYTHING in between before any of my stuff goes in there - even if the place is already spotless and sterile. I'm weird like that.
So, yeah, anyway - seeing as I'm going to be AWOL and I don't know for how long, I thought I'd do one of those "catch ya later" threads. So, yeah - catch youse cool cats laterz, and all that jazz.
Well, take care y'all - and remember to be good to each other.

Regards,
Petra :)
