If the roads ice over tonight, I get tomorrow off work. If they do not, I will have to go to PT before the sun comes up and do situps and pushups on the wet, cold, yet not quite frozen ground, and then go to work in my freezing office for 8 hours, and basically get oodles of enjoyment out of this shit weather without even getting to miss work for it and take pretty pictures of icicles in trees.

COLD HIGH PRESSURE IS BUILDING OVER THE AREA TODAY AND COLD AIR WILL CONTINUE TO FILTER INTO THE REGION OVERNIGHT. WARM MOIST AIR WILL OVER RUN THE LOW LEVEL COLD AIR LATE TONIGHT AS LOW PRESSURE BEGINS TO DEVELOP OFF THE SOUTHEAST COAST. AS A RESULT... PRECIPITATION WILL DEVELOP AFTER MIDNIGHT. TEMPERATURES WILL INITIALLY BE NEAR OR ABOVE FREEZING BUT EVAPORATIVE COOLING WILL CAUSE TEMPERATURES TO FALL TO BETWEEN 30 AND 32 DEGREES WITH THE COLDEST READINGS NORTH AND WEST OF COLUMBIA AND THE WARMEST READINGS IN THE CENTRAL SAVANNAH RIVER AREA OF GEORGIA. PRECIPITATION WILL INITIALLY BEGIN AS A MIXTURE OF RAIN AND SLEET AND AS SURFACE TEMPERATURES FALL TO THE FREEZING MARK FREEZING RAIN WILL CAUSE ICE TO FORM ON SURFACES. MOST ICING PROBLEMS ARE EXPECTED TO BE ON ELEVATED SURFACES SUCH AS TREES... POWER LINES... BRIDGES...AND OVERPASSES. RECENT WARM WEATHER SHOULD KEEP ROAD SURFACES ABOVE FREEZING. AT THIS TIME...ICE ACCUMULATIONS ARE EXPECTED TO BE LIGHT. A SIGNIFICANT ICE STORM IS NOT EXPECTED. BY 10 AM... TEMPERATURES SHOULD AGAIN WARM TO JUST ABOVE FREEZING AND PRECIPITATION SHOULD BE ALL RAIN.

So light a candle, burn some incense, do a little dance, sacrifice a goat... do WHATEVER the FUCK it takes to get me a goddamn ice storm.

Thanks and God Bless.

Hmm, if you get any of that, we'll probably get two feet of snow. :glare:

Yeah, you can have our ice storm. I've been trapped in the house since Saturday. :hyper:

The snow here is supposed to change to freezing rain in the afternoon. Oh joy. :brooding:

I know, motherfucker. Our sister branch in San Antonio has been off the last two days. Lucky bastards.

It's the same storm, from what I understand, it's just moving east. When we told the mothership up north we might be out tomorrow, they thought we were kidding at first.

I do not pray. I will hope that you get the ice you are wishing for however,

PT Test? It's the one thing I really dislike about the military.
I've got one in about three weeks. I'm knocking out the occasional push-up in the office, but I'm doomed for the run: It's just too damned cold at 5am.

Bah. No ice this morning. I skipped out on PT anyway (it was just regular PT, not my test or anything) but I still need to haul my butt into work. :sigh:

Thanks anyway, guys! You all are awesome. I guess god just doesn't like little sarcastic bitches who don't actually believe in the power of prayer. :giggle:

I'll get my voodoo effigy of the state of Georgia wet and put it in the freezer when I get home tonight.
