Zoe's end of year school report...I won't bore you with all of it, but as you know Zoe goes to an Anglican private boarding school. As you also know, Zoe's mum is an irreverent heathen.
Zoe's report comments for her progress in Christian Education are as follows:
First half of the year:
The classroom programme over this half of the year has concentrated on the stories of Jesus; beginning at his boyhood then moving through his position as the mediator between humanity and God. Latterly, the emphasis has moved to the major heroes and heroines of the Old Testament stories namely the prophets and great leaders who inspired the people of Israel.
Zoe has a splendid approach to this course as she is so open minded and enthusiastic about the content. Zoe is always prepared to answer questions and her answers show much insight.
Second half of the year:
The classroom programme of the second half of the year has centred around the events and leaders of the divided kingdoms of Israel and Judah in the Old Testament. The time that both nations were in captivity in Babylon was also explored in depth. Recently, the emphasis has shifted back to Jesus' stories of salvation, love of enemies and charitable works.
Zoe has certainly delighted in terms of her progress in this course over this second half of the year. I have very much apreciated Zoe's enthusiasm at Night Prayer in the Boarding House. Well done, Zoe!
For the first half of the year, she got a B grade, and a 1 (excellent) for effort.
Second half of the year, she got an A grade and a 1 for effort.
I think my daughter may have a future in the clergy. :D

I think that's adorable. I was always really good in religion classes too. Scary prospect, huh?

(Oops, I've just remembered that I've forgotten all the words to that song. )
Anyway, I bet you used to sit in the front of the class, casually riding your skirt up while batting your eyelashes at the vicar.
"More tea, Vicar?"

Well done, Zoe, and well done, Zoe's irreverent heathen mum. (As you know, Zoe, if you do well in life, your parents take some of the credit, but if you don't...)

I dunno if you want that song applied to Zoe, Luna.
It's a multi part song, btw, hence the names above each verse:
Father riley and various party goers:
Catholic girls
With a tiny little mustache
Catholic girls
Do you know how they go?
Catholic girls
In the rectory basement
Father riley’s a fairy
But it don’t bother mary
Catholic girls
At the cyo
Catholic girls
Do you know how they go?
Catholic girls
There can be no replacement
How do they go, after the show?
Joe:
All the way
That’s the way they go
Every day
And none of their mamas ever seem to know
Hip-hip-hooray
For all the class they show
There’s nothing like a catholic girl
At the cyo
When they learn to blow...
Father riley:
They’re learning to blow
All the catholic boys!
Mary:
Warren cuccurullo...
Father riley:
Catholic boys!
Mary:
Kinda young, kinda wow!
Father riley:
Catholic boys!
Mary:
Vinnie colaiuta...
Chorus:
Where are they now?
Did they all take the vow?
Father riley:
Catholic girls
Warren:
Carmenita scarfone!
Father riley:
Catholic girls
Officer butzis:
Hey! she gave me vd!
Father riley:
Catholic girls!
Warren:
Toni carbone!
Chorus:
With a tongue like a cow
She could make you go wow!
Joe:
Vd vowdy vootie
Right away
That’s the way they go
Every day
Whenever their mamas take them to a show
Matinee
Pass the popcorn please
There’s nothing like a catholic girl
With her hand in the box
When she’s on her knees
Larry:
She was on her knees,
My little catholic girl
Chorus:
In a little white dress
Catholic girls
They never confess
Catholic girls
I got one for a cousin
I love how they go
So send me a dozen
Catholic girls
Ooooooh!
Catholic girls
Ooooooh!

Good for zoe. She'll be liv's replacement as popess. Bishopess of Canterbury. Woo Hoo! I'll be able to brag about how I'd heard about her first on the ftf thread. Mom sounds like she's doing a great job. Really good job! No jokin'. Congrats. :yup:

congrats,
things seem to be rolling along smoothly in the petran (do you like that word, I just made it up) household.
I mean except for the puking your guts up part, I guess it is a good thing that zoe is off at school, that way typhoid mommy wont infect her.
wouldnt it be ironic if zoe becomes all clergical (how about this newly minted word?)
And it's not likely you helped her with her homework! Congrats!
