:yes!: Spring is here! :pansy:

And along with Spring, for many come allergies.

I didn't develop seasonal allergies until my mid twenties. They were aweful and nothing I could buy over the counter helped at all. I was just miserable during my two most favorite seasons; spring and fall. :hayfever:

When I finally went to the doctor and was prescribed Clariton, I was in heaven. No more allergies! :woohoo:

A few years later, come spring, Clariton no longer worked for me and I was back to :hayfever:

I went to the doctor for something new, at which time she gave me Allegra which I can now get in generic which is a lot cheaper and it works great. :flower:

Who else has here has allergies and how do you treat them? :ffsneeze:

Girl, I feel ya. I take Zyrtec (a pill) for my allergies, but it's no match for the incredible amount of dust in my house (I'm not a good housekeeper). I'm cooped up with the dust all winter long, then in spring I open my windows and suffer the pollen, grass, and pine. :ffsneeze:

I have taken Allegra and Claritin in the past; Zyrtec seems to work ok, and I take Benadryl at night sometimes, but really, unless I get one of those $800 super-duper air-cleaning filter gizmos, I'm going to have allergy/hay fever symptoms whether on meds or not. :hayfever:

I have a nagging suspicion that I may have developed an allergy to cats, but I prefer not to investigate this, because the alternative (no cats?) is unthinkable. :kitty:

The other alternative (dusting?) is also unthinkable. :polish:

The other alternative (dusting?) is also unthinkable. :polish:Dusting? What's that? :?

Now, paw prints in the dust... now we're talkin' :giggle:

Bleh. The climate change, as well as some gazillion new pollens I'm encountering here in the new location, are conspiring to give me a truly heinous allergy season. I'm on Claritin now, which at least mutes it. I still have to sneeze a few dozen times a day, but at least I can breathe better at night.

Anybody know whether that stuff about eating honey made by native bees to overcome specific pollen allergies is for real, or a lot of hooey?

It definitely isnt spring up hear, more like late winter. its dropping to -10C tonight, snowed yesterday im going snow boarding this weekend, more snow in the forecast

it has been warming up though, the last few week have been above freezing during the day, and most of snow is melted now. but weve had over 160 days with snow on the ground this winter... and still counting
