Its a giant African pouched rat, they sniff out land mines. Definitely one of my favorite rodents.

well this little fellow has seen better days. but he was definately one of my snakes favorite rodents
im actually looking for three breeding pairs of gerbils right now. gerbils are sopisdly healthier than feeding mice to my ball pythons.

What's in it for them? What's in it for dogs?
I don't know the history, but rats are very smart and easy to train. These rats have a life span more than twice that of other rats. They are smaller than dogs, so there is less chance that they will accidentally detonate the land mines.

damn google images lied to me, i grabbed the first picture of a what google claimed to be a rodent to make this thread, i was wondering how long it would take for someone o post a ferret.
