A new Zogby Poll (http://www.zogby.com/NEWS/ReadNews.dbm?ID=1075) of U.S. Soldiers serving around Iraq reveals some unbelievable stuff. Such as:While 85% said the U.S. mission is mainly “to retaliate for Saddam’s role in the 9-11 attacks,” 77% said they also believe the main or a major reason for the war was “to stop Saddam from protecting al Qaeda in Iraq.”How is this possible?

EDIT: I guess it's a bit old but it just got Dugg. Sorry if it has been discussed already.

They must be Marines or something. The lads I work with are a little better grounded in reality. If the figures are true, I think someone needs to send a policy letter out.

Four in five said they oppose the use of such internationally banned weapons as napalm and white phosphorous

Umm... Either they're talking about something they have absolutely no knowledge about, the question was leading, or the article writer was making an assumption.

When I was on my 'trip' last month, the only news running in the chow halls 24/7 was Fox News. Not the most conducive thing to keeping a meal down.

I don't know.. I recall eating my breakfast one Monday morning to Sesame Street. I like the Cookie Monster.

Battalion TOCs usually show CNN.

Maybe it's an Air Force thing. :)
