I'll never sleep again (http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/05/07/spiderboy.ap/index.html).
I'm also going to wear ear plugs ... ALL. THE. TIME.

Well, at least they were sure to keep that ear otherwise bug-free. Sheesh. Nobody ever considers the upside.

tis a good thing you don't work in an emergency room or a children's clinic, esp the kind that services the impoverished. you'd see lots of cases of insects in children's ears, the most common being la cucharacha. Now that's something to cry about.

:shudder:
I saw an episode of one of those random hospital shows with the oh-so-great reenactments of a woman who was sleeping in a coworker's truck between shifts as a waitress. She had the windows cracked in the truck and woke up with a june bug lodged in her ear.
Better than spiders or cockroaches, IMHO.

A june bug in the ear is basically a treat next to spiders or cockroaches. Where do I sign up?

This thing makes me disbelieve the "It's an urban myth that you swallow 8 spiders a year in your sleep." group.

Just thought I'd make you guys aware that cockroaches are incapable of moving backwards.

Great, so if I corner one, since it can't go backwards, all it can do is attack me!?

Oh man, CT, if you live in a place where cockroaches attack people, I feel really sorry for you.
Do they carry little bayonets, too? :P
