I have a hard decision to make, and this ones enough to make a man want to pull his hair out.
I've been interviewing people to rent out the spare room in my town house. (shared kitchen, washroom etc) Of the nine people I've met, one was a fat smelly old guy, and other eight where young women. And so of this minute I have three attractive young single women who want to move in with me. they all seem reasonably normal and have good references.
anywasy, I have taken a few precautions..canceled my long distance phone plan, and Ive put my coin collection and few other Valuables into a bank security box. I have also put solid doors and locks on both bedrooms. Is there anything else you guys can think of to do to make things go over smoother and minimise risk?

Place a 'plumber's helper' next to every toilet in the house.
If you have only one bathroom, post the hours for which it is yours, exclusively, to use.
If you play your cards right, couldn't you get one to share your bedroom and the other two share the other bedroom? Then you can rotate partners for maximum understanding. I mean...four heads is better than one or two, right? Even cheaper (on the rent, only!), too.

laugh..if only they would only see it that way too, more than likly I would wind up being the next Jack Tripper. I figure the one that mooves in I'm going say is off limits to me, it not polight on to hit on house guests... but that still leaves 2 phone numbers in my pocket...

For a short while I dated a lass who was somewhere close to my height. (She broke 6 foot). Took me a while to figure out where I'd seen her before: She had come by my house to look at renting out one of my rooms.

Roastelk-- where did you find these women to rent to? I'm needing to rent out a bed/bath in my place and I don't know where to start.

noodlenader.. i just put some adds on a couple of local internet classifieds...
kijiji, buysell.. etc
I should mention that there are housing shartages right now where i live, and that housing/rental prices have been going through the roof, so there are a lot of people having a hard time finding afordable places to live
just as an example, I bought my townhouse for $112 000 in november 2005, and a place in my complex exactly the same as mine just sold for $257 000 last week.
Rental prices have been doing the same thing. Both my niebors rent, and they just got a $230/month rate increase.
do to the property prices up going so much, my property taxes are just about double what they where last year.

Not long after I graduated college, I was living in a house with my landlord. He was advertising for another tenant, and I happened to be in to answer a call one day. It turned out that a young woman (judging from her voice) was on the line, and she was asking about the room. I told her as much as I knew about it, and told her I'd have the landlord call her back about it.
"Oh, there's just one thing," she said, before I could hang up, "I don't really like to wear clothes. You wouldn't mind if I was walking around the house naked most of the time, would you?" I assured her that I'd never dream of interfering with her right to self-expression.
The landlord later told me that he'd been all for the young woman in question taking the room, but that his fiancee had overruled him on the matter.
Cheers,
Michael

strike one, lunch today with the 2nd, and the 3rd one will not be aproached and is mooving in next friday..and thats the way it goes.
the one whos moving in is looking for a long term residence (year or two) and works as a kindergarten teacher at the elementary school across the field from me, volenteers for all sorts charities and just seems like a good all round person.
and I got a run. I need to be across town in 45 min for lunch, and it would just be stupid to blow off my 1st date in a year and a half.

:giggle: Hey, they have salad right?
I can't imagine living with three women. Especially if their cycles start aligning. Eek!

Ooops! It's rude of her to not mention her diet before letting you choose the place, though. Probably better off without someone like that.

And sheesh, if it was a buffet I'm betting there was an even better variety of vegetarian items available than a standard diner, for example.
My brother and his wife are strict veggies and when they visit from NYC, they often suggest a steakhouse chain (:: CLAIM JUMPER RESTAURANTS (http://www.claimjumper.com/)) because of the extensive salad and pasta bar.

That's true; Rodizio Grill in Salt Lake City, a restaurant all about meat, meat, and more meat, had the largest salad bar in town, bar none.
