This christmas?

I'll be in India, preparing to watch my sister fulfil her dream of getting married in some strange and exotic location. Word around the campfire is that elephants and other animals are involved, although I am guessing that means a trip to a zoo prior to the wedding, as that fits right in with my fathers sense of humour.

Should be fun. Hrm. I guess that means I won't be foruming for a while too (until mid Jan, or if I get extradited, whatever comes first). I would also like to visit Kashmir while I am there, but I have yet to find anyone willing to come with me, for some reason. A pity, as its meant to be one of the most picturesque locations in the world (that is, when people arent blowing each other up in it).

That's so cool, peer. :) My daddy used to go to Kashmir a lot for business. He was caught in the crossfire more than once, too, but he definitely agrees that it is a most beautiful region.

Many best wishes to your sister and I hope you have a wonderful time.

It looks like we're going to be in New York and Philadelphia, showing our young Italian guest that there really is more to America than empty plains of snow and wind.

It's not going to be very christmassy, though. Unless you're like me and think the AMNH and Mutter are fine holiday places.

I'm sure she'll be infinitely grateful. I've been wondering about her. Has she been cooking for you or just mocking your attempts to cook for her?

Think of those that have to work or place themselves in harm's way on the holiday. Someone's got to keep the world turning and everybody else safe.

Merry Xmas to one and all. May all your Xmasses be Bright!

And... be careful out there. (http://wilstar.com/midi/shooteye.wav)

Merry Christmas, everyone. This break, I'll be fairly busy...I'll be spending Christmas with my parents. For New Year's, I'll be going to Minneapolis to visit a couple of friends of mine, and then soon after that, I'll be coming back to SD to fly out to Atlanta for the AMS/MAA Joint Mathematics Meetings (http://www.ams.org/amsmtgs/2091_intro.html).

Anyways, I'll end with a...festive poem that I heard recently on the Bob and Tom show:

Egg nog, tinsel, falling snow,
Buttered rum and mistletoe,
Trimming trees and hanging lights,
The sound of carolers fill the night.

Shopping hours long and hard,
Visa phones and cancelled card.
Unpaid bills and mounting debt,
family gathers, depression sets.

Drinking starts, harsh words are said,
Depression rears its yuletide head.

Argument turns to shovin',
Drunken brother punches cousin.
Tree tips over, popping lights,
Curtains catch, house ignites.

No one hears the raindeer cries.
Wedged in chimney, Santa dies.
Though he kicked, and did prespire,
His chestnuts roasted on an open fire.

:D
