Giuliani To Run For President Of 9/11 (http://www.theonion.com/content/news/giuliani_to_run_for_president_of_9)

"My fellow citizens of 9/11, today I will make you a promise," said Giuliani during his 18-minute announcement speech in front of a charred and torn American flag. "As president of 9/11, I will usher in a bold new 9/11 for all."

If elected, Giuliani would inherit the duties of current 9/11 President George W. Bush, including making grim facial expressions, seeing the world's conflicts in terms of good and evil, and carrying a bullhorn at all state functions.

That reminds me ... I keep hearing that stupid comment of his that got so much damned applause. His first sentence is the one that really gets me -- "having lived through 9/11 ..." Okay, so you were there. Yes, you did a decent job that day. But how the FUCK does that make you an expert on what CAUSED it?

He doesn't have much support from the Republican base either. I'm at somewhat of a loss to understand his high poll numbers.

On that note I was pleasantly surprised by Ron Paul. I had never heard of him before (and of course he is doomed), but I was amazed there's a presidential candidate that dares to question the moronic talking point that the terrists attacked because they hates our freedomses. And a REPUBLICAN candidate no less...

Shit, I'd almost vote for Ron Paul. I'm so glad he's there to shame the other candidates. As Watser? said, he's doomed, of course. The rest of them are clowns that make the pathetic group of democrats look brilliant in comparison.

I missed the debate last night. Is Giuliani for or against abortion this time around? Flip flopper.

I knew that that article sounded familiar (http://www.freethought-forum.com/forum/showpost.php?p=353719&postcount=23).

I like a few things about Ron Paul, but I dislike a lot of things about him. If he were the Republican nominee against Hillary I'd vote for him, but just about the only way that he'd get my vote. I missed the debate too, and I like to think that I'm pretty damn up-to-date with politics. I guess that the facts the it was so early in the race, that they were Republicans, and that it was on Fox converged into the perfect storm where I never had any opportunity to see the debate being advertised ahead of time.

This is a must-read story about Ron Paul:

Ron Paul: 19th Century Man (http://www.burntorangereport.com/showDiary.do?diaryId=1389)

A couple of quotes:
“If you have ever been robbed by a black teen-aged male, you know how unbelievably-fleet-footed they can be.” [Victoria Advocate, 5/24/96]

“Given the inefficiencies of what DC laughingly calls the criminal justice system, I think we can safely assume that 95 percent of the black males in that city are semi-criminal or entirely criminal.” [Victoria Advocate, 5/24/96]
