I'm happy to see I'm not the only one who performs vanity Googles. It assuages some of my disappointment over never finding anyone talking about me elsewhere.

Actually, I was googling "fragment avatar" on the off-chance I'd come up with something I felt like using. I didn't.
I have vanity googled my real name on occasion, with amusing results. I share my name with a couple of odd folk.

OK, so that made me go and google "viscousmemories", which mostly got a bunch of forums I already knew about.
The image search (http://images.google.com/images?um=1&tab=wi&client=firefox-a&hl=en&hs=IO5&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-GB%3Aofficial&q=viscousmemories) is entertainingly eclectic.

That fragment has a cool Miles Davis avatar (not that the real fragment's avatar isn't cool too).

Whereas an image search for "pepperspray" just makes me wince...

It's an album cover? It is quite cool, but not one I felt was really "me".

That image search is funny. I particularly like the picture of Goofy with the caption "History of the Freethought-Forum..."

The "freethought forum" (http://images.google.com/images?q=freethought+forum&ndsp=18&svnum=10&um=1&hl=en&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-GB:official&start=0&sa=N) image search isn't bad, although Howard Dean getting the top spot is... disturbing. "livius drusus" (http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&q=livius+drusus&btnG=Search+Images&gbv=2) and "D. Scarlatti" (http://images.google.com/images?svnum=10&hl=en&gbv=2&q=d.+scarlatti&btnG=Search+Images) get pretty much what you'd expect, but "ChuckF" (http://images.google.com/images?svnum=10&hl=en&gbv=2&q=chuckf&btnG=Search+Images) gets you a bunch of weirdoes.

I went to find out about the one similarly named (http://www.iidb.org/vbb/member.php?u=24623) (to me) person at II, when I stumbled across yet another (http://www.iidb.org/vbb/member.php?u=27784). :whoa:
"livius drusus" (http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&q=livius+drusus&btnG=Search+Images&gbv=2) ... pretty much what you'd expect
O RLY, I thought, seeing this gory finger wound: http://tbn0.google.com/images?q=tbn:F8TtCLcrLVljvM:http://news.bbc.co.uk/nol/shared/spl/hi/pop_ups/06/sci_nat_enl_1138180578/img/1.jpg

Googling for "JoeP" is not much use - it finds lotsa pages by/about people with the common Dutch first name "Joep".
