I don't know if you folks have watched much of his work, but years ago when I first saw his stuff on TLC (back when it meant the learning channel) I was hooked and have been hooked for life.
Some genius put a bunch of Connections episodes on YouTube! :happydance:
You should really start at the beginning with The Trigger Effect (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pTbCNycm0nQ&mode=related&search=). :yup:

Excellent video, loved it. It showed me how fragile civilization really is.

I love this show! I've been watching it for years and years on Knowledge Network (http://www.knowledgenetwork.ca/)
Great station that always has educational shows on.

:oldman: You young whippersnapper! I remember watching the original Connections series on PBS long before TLC (shit, probably before cable itself) existed!
But yes, I also own The Pinball Effect. I'll have to check out some of that YouTube stuff at home (blocked at work).
Another book you might enjoy then, is Out of Control (http://www.amazon.com/Out-Control-Biology-Machines-Economic/dp/0201483408). While not exactly the same sort of thing, it discusses the inter-connectedness of things.
