I believe I want this*, but I'd have to try it out first.

I like it, even at $80.

"UNIX: not compatible". LOL. How can a standard USB mouse manage not to be compatible? These silly CYA measures.

Buy the mouse or don't, vm--I think I want one--but from now on I'm going to call you VerticalMouse. It's cute.

:yup:

I even considered changing my name to VerticalMouse for an instant, but liv would never forgive me if I changed my name and not to VelvetDoughnuts.

I would be crushed, yes, but VerticalMouse is extremely cute so I'd probably recover relatively promptly. :aww:

I just got a VMv3 (heh) at work a couple weeks ago. Once I got used to it, I liked it. In the beginning it was extremely frustrating, because I kept hitting the Back button accidentally and losing shit. I also had to slow it way down from the default speed. But it's winning me over now. I have big ol' banana-hands, so I definitely needed something other than those tiny rodents I used to use, especially with all the extra point-n-click my new job involves.

Of course, I didn't have to pay for mine. I can't say whether I would have paid $80 of my own cash for one, unless my home PC use was mouse-intensive. Even with my new WoW addiction, it really isn't.

Two ways of using a standard mouse (and so saving $80) without suffering from the 'forearm twist' :

1. Use the mouse on a wall. Support it with a counterweight over a pulley to stop it dropping when you let go.

2. Use the mouse on a regular flat table, but lie down on a couch on your left side (assuming you are right handed) while you do it. Turn your monitor on its side too, so that from your new position it still appears upright.

I didn't study the site in great detail. I assume they must also make a 'VerticalKeyboard 3' so that you can type without twisting your wrists? If not, there's a great marketing opportunity for someone! :P
