God, i was almost afraid to open this post! STOP already! :stop2: ...you are very kind to ask, and i am glad to say i feel really strong today. :thankee: ...one little dilemma bothering me, we get new sheriff jan.1 and we are all required to be re-sworn that day or our commissions expire. i am not allowed to wear uniform if i am currently unfit for duty, so i don't know if i can take the oath... i am waiting to hear from someone on this. i've been told two different scenarios, so i am going to just email the new sheriff for definitive answer. and the outgoing sheriff wanted to say goodbye and bestow some pin on me, but i can't go to office just yet.i hope he sends it on to me. more information than you wanted, eh? thanks again, you're a nice guy!

Sorry, couldn't resist the joke....you are very kind to ask, and i am glad to say i feel really strong today. I would think that since your injury was ruled work related, they couldn't 'let you go' due to it. That is of course based on my limited knowledge of OSHA regulations.more information than you wanted, eh? No, I did enquire about how you were doing.thanks again, you're a nice guy! :cool:Occasionally.

Hey YB...there's no question of me being "let go"...i just HAVE to be sworn to carry my badge and weapon after the 1st. so i am just going to show up out of uniform with badge on my belt. :yup: that'll work.

Now I've got a question for lady cop. Can I make a citizen's arrest for hideous, nonsensical, evil syntax? Because I've got Brim dead to rights on like 3 dozen counts of that.

well, even though we know he meant habeas corpus, i do think this falls under the statute you reference, and you are hereby deputized with full arrest powers! so let's have a LivCop smiley! :cop: and we need a badge for you too, 5- pointed star!

Yes, having read your links Livius, i can see this is a pervasive and chronic malfeasance, Brim is clearly an incorrigible habitual offender...this is extreme, but (you need a 'judge' smiley too) .... :behead:

here is the deal...just repeat "STOP RESISTING" and you can do anything you want to him...since smillies are not working for me right now, may i suggest a body cavity search followed by tossing him into holding cell and knee-striking him? just the basics. :D ohhhh, we have found your violent side!

Dirty copper!

(Brim: Was that in Milagro Beanfield War? My mom taught us that when we were little. Whenever she'd see a police car while out driving, she'd ask us what old pennies were made of, and we'd all yell "Dirty copper!" from the back of the station wagon. The whole thing was very unlike my mom. I guess she just thought it was funny. Tennyrate, I'll get my WWF wrestlecam and make sure I capture any ensuing brutality on film. Not sure how that'll help you, but I could use the money.)

Yeah, it was one of my favorite characters, this little girl that they left out of the movie. She was always letting the air out of the character that Christopher Walken eventually played. I was sooo tempted to steal your punch line, but I didn't.

Aren't you proud of me?

First :robocop:, now grammar cop! Run away! Run away!

btw, should be a 54-pointed star.

The LivCop smiley should be a combination of :bgirl: and :copno:.

Hey ... can someone put a cop's hat on :naughty:? Cute little handcuffs would be totally inappropriate.

Right to the grammar cop
And he only paused a moment when
He heard liv holler 'stop!'

MIDNIGHT SPECIAL
words and music by Huddie Ledbetter
collected and adapted by John A Lomax and Alan Lomax

One day, one day, Sir
I was walking along
I heard that special
Singing a lonesome song

Chorus:
Oh, let the Midnight Special
Shine her light on me
Let the Midnight Special
Shine her ever lovin light on me

If you ever go to Houston
You know you better walk right
You know you better not stagger
You know you better not fight
Because the sheriff will just arrest you
You know he'll carry you down
And you can bet your bottom dollar
Oh Lord, you're penitentiary bound

Chorus

Yonder come little Rosie
How in the world do you know?
I can tell her by her apron
And the dress she wore
Umbrella on her shoulder
Piece of paper in her hand
Goes a marchin to the Captain
Says I want my man

Chorus

Now here comes jumpin' Judy
I'll tell you how I know
You know, Judy brought jumpin'
To the whole wide world
She brought it in the morning
Just about the break of day
You know, if I ever get to jumpin'
Oh Lord, I'll up and jump away.

Chorus - 2x
