I got an email that ended in

"Thanks in advance for any help that can be prodied."

What the fuck is prodied? I can't even glean what word was meant to be used, like it's not an obvious typo of some common word.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks liv

Ya, that's what I was thinking too, bey. Or "prodded", as in "thanks for any help that can be prodded out of you lazy bums."

Yeah that was pretty easy, Shea. You crazy.

I think you're right. But damn what a bad typist. I suck too though; the u, i, and o on my keyboard are rubbed off, and I sometimes hit the wrong one as I am not much of a touch typist. I don't unusually fuck up like that though

I seriously didn't come up with provided. Looking at it now it seems obvious, but I was pretty stumped.

hmm, just such a vastly different way of sucking at typing it seemed alien to me I guess ;)

Seems like a simple mistype.

I mistype (the same fucking phrase) all the time in the trouble tickets I have to work.

It's so bad I have to double check myself every time I use this phrase.

Does not does not equal Doe snot

When I was a secretary, I always spelled the name "Norman" wrong. I used to write to one client "Dear Normal". Every damn time.

No one is. That's why it's a funny typo.

I type with 7-8 fingers (the 10-finger-typing exercise didn't overcome the innate laziness of the outer fingers), and I often find that a letter or two can appear several places wrong and make a bizarre typo ... because my fingers are sometimes uncoordinated. Yes, like the rest of me.

Just so you guys know ... these are the things that keep us non-English speaking people up all night. :glare:
