Okay, here is a quick update for y'all:

I am in Afganistan right now. My internet access occaisionally sucks real bad, so I may or may not be posting here more often.
This country sucks.
I will be home in either 6 or 9 months, depending on whether or not they actually do extend us.
My computer is working (mostly) now.
I am being threatened with promotion right now. Yes, it's a threat, considering what they'll probably have me doing as a direct result. Oh, and WLC too. Fuck that course.
They are also trying to extort/coerce me into reenlisting. Fuck that too.

But, yah. I'm alive, uninjured, and doing my country a great service--or so I'm told.

In the Army we said 'FTA' a lot, wrote it on our helmets and such. So I was wondering if there was an equivalent in the Air Force. A Navy guy I know told me that they used the acronym 'FTN'.

e.g.
FTA = "Fuck The Army"
FTN = "Fuck the Navy"
FTAF = "Fuck The Air Force"

Here's a story just to give you an example. We were sent to the field in the Arctic, it was cold as hell and we were all in a bad way, they made us turn our stoves off at night and sleep directly on a polypropylene pad (on the ground). Getting up to pee at night was a god awful experience, so you would hold it in for as long as you possibly could. One night, I got up and peed in huge letters in the snow "FTA" right where everyone could see it. I swear to god, the letters were 3 feet tall. Well, everyone who saw it the next day just burst out laughing and it made us all feel a little better (especially me).
