Wot happined?

Hey guys, I had to reformat my hard drive two days ago and start from scratch. Now none of the smilies are animated. What am I missing. I know that I should know what the problem is, but my mind is a fucking tabla rassa and has been for some time.

Try clicking Tools - Internet Options, click the Advanced tab and check if "Play animations in web pages" is checked. If it isn't, go ahead and check it and see what happens.
