These cards (http://www.chgs.umn.edu/museum/responses/kobe/index.html) were made by Boris Kobe a Slovenian architect and painter who was a political prisoner at the concentration camp of Allach, a sub-camp of Dachau.

I think I have met roughly a dozen Holocaust survivors throughout my life, and now there are so few of them, I wonder if my kids will ever meet a survivor face to face, or see the numbers tattooed on a survivor's arm as I have seen. It's important to keep stories like this one up front in the public eye. Thanks for the link.

I've only ever met one survivor. He was the janitor at my elementary school and had to roll up his sleeves one day...I was shocked (and I think he was two) at how many kids in my grade 7 class had no idea what his tattoo was about.
