Happy to say neither FF nor any of my other usual skeptical haunts made the list.
Beware These Six Lamest Social Networks (http://www.wired.com/techbiz/people/magazine/15-09/st_socialnetworks)
But Richard (There is no God, and we are His anointed) Dawkins' outfit made the list. :yup:

WalMart had a social networking site for something like two months. It consisted almost entirely of their own marketing department pretending to be teenagers and talking about how WalMart lets them express their individuality.
Seriously, every single profile was like, "At WalMart prices, I can have different clothes for all of my looks, from edgy to prep! I'm not about fads or cliques, I'm about individuality! School, MY way! Word up to WalMart!"

What's with that Thomas Kincaid one? All I see are a bunch of ads. (Although the realtor one is totally excellent. That realtor lady and her family don't just do things. They're active in things!)
Anyway, someone else should sign up there and see if there are really profiles and stuff.

It's not so bad if you're talking about, like, a dodecahedron.

And they got paid for this.

It was at http://schoolyourway.walmart.com/, and there's a page about it here. (http://maisonbisson.com/blog/post/11396/wal-mart-trying-to-ape-myspace-seriously) I guess it was also called "The Hub."
Also here's a cached version of the totally rad AdAge review (http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://adage.com/images/bin/image/photo/walmart072306.jpg&imgrefurl=http://adage.com/garfield//article%3Farticle_id%3D110673&h=248&w=180&sz=18&hl=en&start=5&sig2=IC61RSjEzMxMiZ7TD69hyA&um=1&tbnid=4xn9S4g4cifnTM:&tbnh=111&tbnw=81&ei=ylvXRpDBOYTMgAPTx_UT&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dschoolyourway.walmart.com/%26svnum%3D10%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26safe%3Doff%26client%3Dfirefox-a%26rls%3DSwiftfox:en-US:unofficial%26hs%3DyFZ%26sa%3DN).
