Dear Freethought Forum,

Casual evidence from virtually every post by Mick confirms a malignant downward levelling of the discourse in question. Clearly, debate can often become vital and passionate, but many of the conversations in which Mick participates can be seen as descending into a shallow game of bickering and small mindedness. I think this assertion holds true if one not only looks through his posts made here at this formidable forum, but also at TGL.

This assertion is not to undermine or ridicule Mick's often stimulating posts, only to highlight the fact that a fair number of them do come across as goading, snarky, obnoxious, and petty. It is also worth pointing out that the suggestion made by Davidm at the TGL, of Mick being banned due to his manner of posting, is correct, and the gerund helps emphasis the fact that he was given amble opportunity to address his behaviour and conduct himself accordingly.

As you’ll appreciate, there are different manners of suitable conduct and behaviour here and there, but that Mick did not take it upon himself to capture the numerous opportunities given him at TGL, ought not to be anyone else's concern but his own. And it is in this light that I wish to offer you all here my sincerest condolences, in particular the kindly and accomplished admins who must now witness the vindictive nature of Mick cluttering up their own sympathetic and admirable forum.

On a final note, it is not for me to speak on behalf of any other, but for those here, and at TGL, I don't think it would blemish anyone's "integrity and self-esteem" if they merely ignored Mick's goading requests and assertions.

Certainly, those without either integrity or self-esteem will feel free to dismiss all unwelcome requests and unanswerable challenges as 'goading'.

The admins seem to rely on that defence at the Library. For example, if you were to ask for an example of my goading at TGL, you yourself may even get accused of 'goading' and given a warning. Asking for an explanation of the offence will then be seens as further 'goading' and a final warning will be issued.

So to save you incurring Hugo's wrath unnecessarily, this is what he's talking about;
