Listening to a radio program called Art and Politics just now I heard a story about Picasso. I'm not sure whether this actually happened or is a myth, however I think its great.

Apparently Picasso was standing beside his famous painting "Guernica"
during the Nazi occupation of Paris. A haughty German officer jabbed his finger at the painting and shouted at Picasso, "Did you do this?"

Picasso spat back, "No, you did this."

I did a little Googling and found variations on it but nothing definitive. But in any case it is a good story and I hope it's true.

I just recently learned about the bombing of Guernica, as I explained in this thread (http://www.freethought-forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1038). Another sad example of what humans are capable of. :(
