My supervisor just handed me a copy of our new floor plan, in the new digs we'll be moving into come the end of October.

It'll probably only last a couple years before they move us yet again, but ...


I'm gettin' an OFFICE again, beeyotches! :w00t:

The next move is already in the works, and at that time they'll shove us back into cubes. But until then, I can actually concentrate, with 100% less Tooth Sucking Noise Guy!

Not only that, I've already staked out my claim on an office with a window overlooking the outside world. I didn't even have that when I had an office before, and it was still blissful. Of course, the "outside world" is still bumfuck Houston, but at least maybe now I might get some sunlight-induced Vitamin D.

Having an office rocks. I frequently reflect on the extent to which my office elevates my quality of life.

Door closed, quiet research time. Shutters closed, changing clothes before and after biking. Shutters open, nice sunlight. And room to keep my clothes, shoes, books and, in the broadest sense, my shit.
