I admit I was only drawn to the movie because the previews showed Christina Ricci chained to a furnace wearing only panties and a half-shirt. But it turned out to be an interesting, funny and touching story. Plus Samuel L. Jackson sings the blues, and Justin Timberlake plays a wannabe jarhead with an anxiety disorder. It also stars S. Epatha Merkerson (the black female captain from Law & Order). Did I mention that Christina Ricci is chained to a furnace wearing only panties and a half-shirt for half the movie? I mean if you're into that kind of thing. But that's not the only reason I liked it. Really.

Seriously though, good flick. I watched the "making of" video from the dvd extras after, and found an interview with Justin Timberlake, Christina Ricci and Samuel L. Jackson on the Internet to watch after that. It's a very provocative film.

I can't believe I said "chained to a furnace" several times. She was actually chained to a radiator. We used to have radiators in the house when I was a kid, but I guess that was so long ago that I forgot what they're called. :blush:
