When viewing a web page in IE or Netscape one can here the music... but not on Firefox :chin:

Any ideas why?

The web sites with the music probably use the non-standard bgsound= option, which Firefox ignores.

If you want the music from these web sites to play in your Firefox you can install the BGM Conductor (http://forum.addonsmirror.net/index.php?showtopic=369) Firefox extension.

See Background music does not play - MozillaZine Knowledge Base (http://kb.mozillazine.org/Background_music_doesn't_play) for more info.

If you use Greasemonkey, there is also the userscript "bgsound to embed" found at userscripts.org.

People who put music on webpages are assholes.

Give me a choice to listen to it, but don't make me work to turn it off.
