View Full Version : Missing avatars?

It is possible this issue has been mentioned elsewhere and I just haven't seen it. Certain forum member's avatars are not being shown. Specifically Adora and Maddog. I have not elected to hide their avatars. Instead of viewing their avatars all I see is the text, "Adora's Avatar". When I click on it it takes me to her profile. What is going on? Is it just my computer?

That's very odd indeed. I see both their avatars without a problem. Could you by any chance have inadvertantly blocked those specific images using your browser's "Remove this object" feature? (That's what it's called in Firefox, anyway.)

Other than that I have no idea and will therefore shut the hell up now.

Thanks for the advice Liv. I tried Internet Explorer and I can see the avatars just fine. I have no idea what I did in Firefox to block those specific images. So unfortunately I haven't a clue how to fix it. :(

Do you have the Nuke Anything or Nuke Images extension, Ex-zombie? If so, try r-clicking on the avatars and selecting "Remove this image/object". I really don't think that's the problem, but it's all I've got that doesn't involve blocking all images from the site.

Thanks for trying to help, Liv. I am lost as to what exactly I did. I even went to the Mozilla forums and did a search. I tried a couple of things that were suggested and nothing worked. I had to set up a new profile for myself. Now everything is back to normal.

Oh cool, Ex-zombie. I'm glad you figured it out so you don't have to revert to IE just to see two avatars. They're good ones, too. :)
