By J.K. Rowling (http://canadianpress.google.com/article/ALeqM5hESYP2fH1YI0JG2DwtDeA3b6fTgw). Apparently the whole Gellert Grindelwald situation was a crush gone bad.

zomgoggle! Why doesn't anyone think of the CHILDREN! These books should be banned! Someone should invent a time machine and go back in time and make sure that these books are never written! FOR THE CHILDREN!

In related news, lawprof Michael Dorf (http://writ.news.findlaw.com/dorf/20071022.html) "explain[s] why James Madison is no more of an authority on the meaning of the U.S. Constitution, than J.K. Rowling is on Dumbledore's sexual orientation."

It's all part of the master plan to make us suck the greasy cock of the Dark Lord (http://web.archive.org/web/20000815214418/http://www.theonion.com/onion3625/harry_potter.html), I reckon.

So true. And Maturin's link only underscores why time travel must be a top priority for this administration.

I am outraged! OUTRAGED! "Magic wands"?! "Riding broomsticks" and "chasing balls"!? COME ON! This whole series is nothing but a great big advertisement for the GAY COMMUNITY AGENDA!

JK Rowling is a mouthpiece for faggots around the world!

In the upcoming film Dumbledore will sport a lisp and 'fabulous' pink boa.

Concerned parents are now checking other lovable authority to make sure their sons and daughters don't catch the gay disease. Some even question why God created Adam first and if there was a secret motive behind it.

To tell the truth, Jim Dobson's Hurray For Hitler Club compound is just about 90 minutes away from me, so I really do expect it. On a regular basis. :unnod:

It should've been obvious, there are at least seven clues that Dumbledore was gay. (http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/news/movies/la-et-showbiz7-23oct23,0,5726083.story?coll=la-home-entertainment)

1. His pet Phoenix is flaming.

2. The anagram of his name Albus Dumbledore is 'Male bods rule, bud!'

3. His fashion sense, e.g. the flowing robes, the stylish headwear, etc.

4. His sensitivity.

5. His openness.

6. His historical parallel, Leonardo DiVinci was rumored to be gay.

7. The fact that so few of us thought he might be gay.

It's always the one you least suspect that is the biggest surprise.

I have not read the books, have no intention to, but Rowling (already pretty high in my esteem) has just burst through the clouds.

HAH! Hah, haters, HAH!

If you're going to out a CHARACTER do so in literary form, not in an interview.

From the 'you knew it was going to happen' file, Oak Brook, Illinois school district bans Harry Potter costumes (http://www.headlinednews.com/rumormill/potter_gay.html) because of Dumbledore. I guess they're afraid they'll catch the gay.

While I have some friends who are happy their ship has now been cemented in canon, this is awfully problematic and seems like just a stupid publicity stunt or JKR being a smarmy cunt again rather than any genuine idea of a gay character. Especially considering how pantsy she got regarding many fans' reading of Remus and Tonks as gay, leading to many subsequent suggestions that their relationship was tacked onto the books to dissuade such assumptions (which didn't work so well considering Remus was chomping at the bit to get away from her all the time).

First: FINALLY SOMEONE IS THINKING OF THE CHILDREN!

But seriously: I think we found the winners for the Presidential Award for Stupid Award.

"It’s school policy that students cannot wear any sexually suggestive costumes during Halloween," said officials at Trinity Lake’s Elementary School in Oak Brook, IL.

Now a wizard's robe is sexually suggestive. And as if that weren't enough!

"We don’t want students promoting any sexual agenda, gay or straight" said school principal Tom Mannino, "so we’re preempting any issues parents or students might have and banning all Harry Potter costumes outright."

Then maybe they shouldn't be going to school, because wearing ANYTHING (as well as wearing NOTHING) can be bent to promote a sexual agenda (gay or straight). Boys can't wear pants and girls can't wear dresses!

In a letter home to parents, Principal Mannino explained that, "Even though Dumbledore shows no outward signs of being gay, it’s important that we don’t allow other people’s lifestyle choices to be imposed upon our children."

Except ours.

I still can not believe they were covering the sexual orientation of a fictional character on the news. The Britney Spears coverage must have been slow or something and they needed filler.

Actually, if I were to come out of the closet, it would surprise fewer people than one might imagine. However, I'm not coming out because it's quite comfortable in there, all padded like it is. Besides, I don't have a key, only my attendants do.
