Check out this hot surrealist wallpaper company: SURREALIEN (http://www.surrealien.de/). They take measurements of a wall, use a grid system and a computer to create warping effects, then print you out a wallpaper that makes your room look like something from that episode of the Simpsons where Homer enters the 3 dimensional world.

I think that totally rules, even though it would probably make me boot if I had it on my walls.

This wallpaper is spoooky! I wonder how many people notice it when they see it.

It probably depends on the pattern. Some of the more active graphic designs might be less noticeably warped than, say, the lined ones.

My wife'd never allow it, or I would SO get me some of that. I particularly like the first pic.

Me too. The pattern and the sconces make sweet, sweet music together. :yup:

May need to get some when they ban shrooms over here :giggles:
ANY wallpaper I've EVER put up looked warped
Man I suck at wallpapering.
That's pretty cool though

Wallpapering is definitely not a job I'd try to take on myself. :shudder:

Me too! In fact, my lounge has an uplit bulb in a red shade on each wall (3 walls). Oh, without the warping effect, I hasten to add.

I hate, I mean HATE, wallpaper. I'd rather do a thousand different kind of tricks using paint and drywall mud than put up wallpaper.

You hate the finished product or you hate having to put it up?

Oh, I agree. I detest wallpaper. Although I detest stenciling more. The previous owners of our house stenciled everything with damn birds and butterflies. I finally had to paint the bathroom because looking at that crap every morning made me want to blow my brains out.

You hate the finished product or you hate having to put it up?Both. Even worse, removing old wallpaper.

I hate wallpaper too, but holy shit, I want! :homdrool:
Bah. I'm just building a "printer" hooked up to my parallel port that paints the walls of my room with a giant spherically projected fractal.
I'm serious. :yup:

I bet it would come out looking like tie-dye. What are you, some kind of computer math nerd hippy hybrid? :narrow:

That pretty much sums up the whole fractal scene.

Oh my dawg, I am having a flash back. Watser? help me down off this bad trip! Oh wait, you're too busy with the shroomz. NM.
I detest wall paper too, always makes me feel like I'm in a trailer. Just add some cheap paneling on one wall and voila! Trailer Trash! Ok, I exaggerate, but it does make me think that. I would rather have an artist paint a beautiful mural than put up wall paper.
Having said all that, that first wall paper with the sconces is pretty darn cool! Maybe one wall then.

Hey! If that were truly a fractal fruit, couldn't it feed the whole world, because you could never really finish eating it all (there would always be another, albeit, smaller, bite???)

Normally I detest wallpaper too but I have to admit that perhaps with the right design, color, and limited usage of it, it would be a quite lovely home decor. I think I would draw the line at only just one wall being wallpapered.
The other day when watching a movie, there was a bedroom scene and I noticed that the wall where the master bed was up against was wallpapered with an intricate design while rest of the walls were painted. It was a striking effect.

;) Keep in mind it was a movie. Perhaps a "wallpaper" backdrop and two movable walls?
Also, noticing the wallpaper in a bedroom scene is a real mood killer.
