True.
I much prefer something with color in it, say rubies, emeralds or sapphires.
Although these (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aurora_Diamond_Collection) are quite nice as well. Especially the orange and green colors.

Don't get me wrong, diamonds are a very useful rock, not much is better for drilling into rock in a search for more energy and/or clean water than a diamond-tipped drill bit. Not only that, but you can burn them to heat up a kettle of tea just as though they were coal, which they are, sort of.

I'm into suitcases filled with bills of large denominations, not sequentially numbered and lacking dye packs and/or "Property of Guido" tags.

I only want diamonds that are set in a record player needle (and it has to be a Technics SL-D210). Otherwise I will be forced to feed them to a nazi.

I really really like most of these things: little baby ducks, old pick-up trucks, slow-moving trains, and rain, little country streams, sleep without dreams, sunday school in may, and hay, leaves in the wind, pictures of my friends, birds in the world, and squirrels, coffee in a cup, little fuzzy pups, bourbon in a glass, and grass, honest open smiles, kisses from a child, tomatoes on the vine, and onions, love winners when they cry, losers when they try, music when it's good, and life.

Opals are cheaper than most people think...Opal Auctions: Opals, Opal Jewelry, Gemstones at Wholesale Prices (http://www.opalauctions.com/) (gee I wonder why Julie instantly had that URL available? Does Julie love opals? Nawww that couldnt possible be it. Could it?)
Me I love monkeys that type...It would be a huge advantage if they know how to play world of warcraft but then again I'm a lock so they really only have to bash their faces on the keyboard and they'd still win.
I like smally fuzzy dogs that have been trained to pick up things when I drop them....like my fricken blanket at 4am so that I wouldnt have to sit for hours in the cold of night without a damn blanket (or children that would wake up when called...that would work too!)
I love snowbabies. I neeeeeeeeeeeeed this one http://www.dreamsnrainbows.com/69805.jpg
Neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed musthavegottohavewillcompleattheset.
Did I ever mention that I like world of warcraft ;)
Ya know I bet a parrot could be trained to pick up shit I drop just as easily as a dog. I'm partial to Congo African greys, but I'd settle for a green cheek conure. But Oh if I had a small fuzzy dog I could stick it in the basket of my scooter and become one of those weird people that take their dog into the mall! I'm sure a Cavalier king charles spaniel will fit in my scooter basket! (Tri-colour please!)
Oh and CANADIAN diamonds. They are so much more than just regular diamons. They have FIRE.

:parrot:A while back I saw a guy down at the feed store who had a juvenile bluejay on his shoulder. The guy would pick up items, toys mainly, and hold them up for the bird to examine. The bird seemed interested in everything. Weird, but cool.

I was born in October, so opals are my favorite gemstones of all time. Where was the world's largest opal you saw? How big was it?
Opals are quite nice as is another of my favorite stones, Lapis lazuli.
I love Lapis too. If you want to see it in lavish use, the chapel of St. Ignatius in the Church of the Gesu' (http://www.chiesadelgesu.org/index_en.html) on the Capitoline hill in Rome is the place to go. The columns are lapis lazuli and bronze, and there's a sculpture in the pediment of God holding the world where the globe is a massive solid sphere of lapis.
This is the only picture I could find and needless to say, it doesn't do the lapis lazuli justice. Still, you can get an idea of the beauty of the 4 pillars and the size of the sphere (up top underneath the starburst/Holy Spirit fingy).

I love diamonds. I love opals. In fact, I love just about ANY gemstone. Of course, I love fake ones, too.
I really couldn't care less about whether or not the rock was genuine or not as long as it SPARKLES!
Yes, I am a bower bird.
I love diamonds. They are just so hard. In fact, I'm going to make some. I mean, how hard can it be?

I am an Opal fan as well, but I have heard that diamonds are a girls best friend.
What few diamonds I have are small and I have bought for myself as milestones in my working career. However, on one of our anniversaries, I did receive a ring with a sapphire and nineteen small diamonds. I have no doubt the girls pushed him into buying it; my husband is not the type of guy that would do this sort of thing on his own. He has been known to buy beautiful flowers on occasion, lots cheaper than gemstones/diamonds and they smell good too. I am not complaining. I have other things in my life that he has been so very generous in letting me have and pursue. He is a great guy even when he is grumpy.
