I wouldn't worry about it too much, Joe. Pretty soon, she'll start to get the shakes. A few hours after that, she'll begin seein' things. When it gets so bad she can't take it anymore, she'll upload one smilie. But that won't be enough, no. She'll have to upload another and another and the next thing you know, they'll be ten or twenty more...

Pretty soon you're cruising the back-alleys of the internet looking for fresh smilies. You've got a 10K a day download habit. You can't keep that up without looking like a dweeb, so you start peddling them to your friends and family on the side. You start your own forum to push them wholesale -- it's like a crackhouse for smiley whores.

And then the despair gets so great that you give up. You're "too far gone now."

Finally, you're gone. And the last tragedy, the ending irony? The best your friends can muster for a eulogy is a canned 16x16 pixel cartoon of a tombstone with an animated daisy.
