Don't ask tonight. We're kinda busy (http://sports-ak.espn.go.com/nfl/index).

I thought the game wasn't on TV in WI.

Which kinda makes me laugh, because TSN is carrying it everywhere in Canuckistan...

Yeah, it's not available Statewide. Bastard cable monopolies or something. Lots of happy tavern owners, though.

But we're good to go in Milwaukee.

I work Sundays so I hardly get to watch football anymore. This should be a good one.

Got six PBRs and a lasagna on the way.

I work Sundays, and I watch football every Saturday.

It's on cable, huh? Good...It won't interfere with any commercial programming then.

It sounds like cheeseheads will be wizzing in tavern parking lots all over the state.

Eh ... never mind. It is on cable (NFL Network), but the ABC affiliate is carrying it here.

Didn't know you live in the land of cheese and murder.

Could you just pop over to VRichards on Bluemound before they close and get me a dozen of those chocolate brownies, those things are SO good! You don't mind do you?

Penzey's notified me they shipped my spices today, and they are in Brookfield. I think you may be slightly overreacting.

"It was the Packers' greatest ten-point loss ever." - Channel 12 sports guy.

And I can't afford to shop at V. Richards. Would you believe the Pick n Save at 19th and National.

The commentator kept harping on that one dodgy pass interference call as being the difference in the game.

Whereas I thought that the two Cowboy touchdowns from the interception of Favre's absurd blind-panic throws were likelier candidates for difference-makers.

Agreed, although that was a dodgy pass interference call. I'm not sure the ball was even catchable.

In fact there were a number of dodgy calls, and the Pack took too many of the big ones, dodgy or not.

Did TSN have its own announcers? Because we were treated to Bryant Gumbel, who spent much of that replay nattering about Tony Romo's dates with Jessica Simpson. I'm exaggerating but jeez, that guy is awful.

No, that's the same crap we heard, too. But I found it more painful to hear the ragged cognitive dissonance in the simultaneous attempts to fellate Favre while noting in play after play that he was throwing uncatchable passes into double and triple coverage.

Temperatures may dip below 0° Fahrenheit during this Sunday's NFC Championship Game between the New York Giants and the Green Bay Packers, but it will be in the 70s where I'm watching it. I also have to work until 5:35 p.m., which is within ten minutes of kickoff, so you can bet your bippy I'll be hightailing it the fuck out of there post haste prestissimo.

While "we" prefer to face the Giants than the Cowboys (Packer quarterback Brett Favre is 0-9 in Dallas), the Giants came damn close to beating the unbeaten Patriots a couple of weeks ago. Should be a good one, football fans (which means it's a good one for non-football fans as well).

Now maybe we'll actually get those cheese plates in time for the Super Bowl.
