When you are logged in, the top navigation bar (navbar) should look like this (http://www.freethought-forum.com/forum/faq.php?faq=faq_freethoughtforum#faq_faq_freethoughtforum_navbar). However, at least one of our members (using a Mac OSX.3 w/ Earthlink) is not able to see all the options on that menu, presumably because javascript isn't working. Does anyone else have this problem? Or better yet, have any idea what the problem is and/or how to fix it?

All I have on the toolbar is FAQ, Articles, Search (which only deals with Search Forums), New Posts, Mark Forums Read, Open Buddy List, and Log Out.

I'm using a Mac with OS 9.3 (I think) and my browser uses IE 5 (I think). I don't have anything other than really basic software, though, so I'm used to not being able to access parts of all sorts of sites.

I noticed on people's posts it says something about Arcade Challenges under the Join Date but there doesn't seem to be anything else there, and it isn't a clickable link.

However, as far as I'm concerned, forum access is sufficient. I know you'll want to get as many people accessing the whole site as possible, but I might just be the three-sigma oddity that has to make do with limited access. Seeing as how every computer I've ever had has totally hated me, I tend to keep things as simple as possible.

Ahhhh... thanks Albion. That's very useful information. Yeah, sounds like you're having the same issues as Brimshack. I read a little about it at the vBulletin site. The menus you can't see (and which don't work, as the arcade challenges menu) are javascript and written in such a way that they're non-functioning for users of older browsers. I'll keep looking for a solution. Thanks for letting me know.

Until I get a chance to fix the menus, here are some links that might be helpful:

I am using OSX 10.3.4 and Safari and all of it shows up just fine. So, if the person in question doesn't have all of the updates, or for some reason that is beyond me is using I.E. on the Mac, then have them use Safari.

Possibly if they are using Safari, have them go here and download java 1.4.2 and see if that fixes the problem:
