For some reason, we had this disabled when we opened the forum (probably because it adds a query and might therefore add a nanosecond to the time it takes a thread to display), but it really doesn't seem to cause any appreciable delay so we've gone ahead and activated it.

Now when you scroll down to the bottom of the thread, past the Quick Reply box, you'll see who all else is reading it. :posting:

This reminds me of an insipid little ditty sung by the Care Bears. This wretched piece of lyrical excrement plays at the push of a button on one of my daughter's toys. I vow to visit a great and terrifying vengeance on the family members who subjected us to this nightmare by bestowing this "gift" to my daughter.

Care Bears are coming to your town
They'll cheer you up when you're feeling down
They're watching you from up above
Filling our dreams with caring and love

This tune gets unavoidably stuck in your head upon first listen. I've always found that thought of Care Bears casting their unblinking eyes upon the world from their heavenly perch to be rather disturbing. These sinister thoughts ultimately lead to my own version of this song. Which I am sure to sing to my daughter whenever I can:

Care Bears are coming to your town
They're gonna raze it to the ground
They're raining death from up above
Filling the skies with screaming and blood
