Hello from New Orleans

It's probably long overdue for me to stop in and say hello. But I often forget or don't realize how many freethinking/atheist forums and sites there are on the net that are popular. Anyway, I'd like to say hello. I'm the operator of Freethoughtpedia (http://Freethoughtpedia.com/) and BSalert (http://bsalert.com/), two relatively popular sites online that pander to rational/freethinking/atheist views. I am pretty active in the freethought scene online and hope to do even more.

I'm in New Orleans and despite what you may have heard, it's still here and doing kinda ok. I look forward to hanging out and meeting more freethinkers.

I've been assiduously following This Old House in New Orleans the past few weeks. It's great to see historical buildings (in this case a shotgun house) getting renovated.

I haven't watched the show but a friend's house was up for the running and they had a bunch of us vote on their house getting picked. I don't think they won though. I'll have to check the show out.

I did have fun at Mardi Gras though. My girlfriend dressed as a nun and I like a bishop and we followed the fundy christians around.. I was carrying a sign that said, "I gave up superstitious mumbo jumbo for lent!"
