We have our own well and we have a home distiller. I wonder if distilling the water removes pharmaceutical contaminents.

Not being a chemist, I wouldn't know. But I would think that it would change the substances in the water. :chin:

Ergo, run your distilled water through a carbon filter.

Or, better yet, stop distilling water and start distilling whiskey. :innocent:

We could always run it through a carbon filter and a reverse osmosis system, and then drink whiskey instead. Maybe with a water chaser.

Harper's had a really interesting article a couple of months ago on waste reclamation technologies. One of the possible future applications they mentioned was reclaiming pharmaceuticals from waste water. Very neat stuff.
