You may not know the sequence I posted, but it appears on a fairly common object, that you will have doubtless seen, many times.

I suppose I should declare an interest in puzzles - as if my custom title doesn't already do that.

If there is enough interest, perhaps a puzzles forum should be set up? Puzzles tend to be slow moving threads, and can be swamped when placed in a normal social forum.

What comes next?

1 18 4 13 6 10 ? This is only a wild guess:
8 8

the numbers 1, 4, 6 are the first three non-prime numbers, and the next number is 8. The numbers 18, 13, and 10 are the order of numbers that start with 18 and subtract prime numbers in descending order starting with 5 (-5, -3) and next in the series is 8 (-2).
Never mind, I Googled the answer and it has nothing to do with math, and if you don't have a bit of trivial knowledge, you'll never get it.

I'm confused. You say only one number remains, but then you say "some of the larger numbers" as though there are more than one. Do you refer to the numbers I already see, such as 60 and 31?

I am thinking 60 seconds, minutes, or hours, and 31 days in a month. But beyond that, I'm stumped.

I thought times more likely than dates, because of the initial 1108. Do people in America write dates with a zero? In the UK we put the day of the month before the month, and we wouldn't normally write a leading zero.

I checked a few posters birthdays but couldn't see any obvious pattern, so I gave up. Perhaps I gave up too easily. Forum joining dates is another possibility, I suppose.

is

it is a list of members birthdays, month and day when the member list is sorted by post count. I thought someone would get it as the most prolific posters birthdays are used including mine of 1-29 which just occurred. so the answer is unknown since socrotoad didnt list his birthday. but as joep pointed out I went retarded and made liv's birthday in november instead of october.

The only things I can think of that are limited to 20 are a "score" of something, and maybe the Hawaiian alphabet. "LU" sounds like a Hawaiian syllable. Warm or cold? (Probably cold.)

It is based on a device you use everyday. It is based on all numbers that could be generated using certain rules.
