Army courses world-wide tend to have a few slots open for foreign officers. US Majors going to the Irish Command and Staff College, British Engineers going to the French EOD school (which is apparently very good), and foreign officers attending the US Armor School's courses.
Well, some countries have Royalty who are also military officers. Many of these Royals are military officers not only by title, but who have done the same education and training for their rank as the common peasant. One of these Royal Officers is attending the same course I am.
Although this Royal's identity is an open secret on the base, I am not at liberty to identify him. I will say he's a credit to his military, but that's beside the point. The more particular point is that today was our intra-class sports day. More specifically, football. Sortof. Kindof Army Football, which is a slightly more violent version of playground football, mainly because most Americans don't understand the rules (Offside? What's offside?). Of course, our skills don't quite necessarily match our enthusiasm, and no matter how much we -tried- to go for the ball, we had this annoying habit of ending up making contact with the players instead.
So there you go. I got to kick royalty, without going to jail or getting shot :)

*Prince William or Prince Harry*?
William is currently doing counter-drug patrols on HMS Iron Duke in the Atlantic Ocean. BBC NEWS | UK | William's ship seizes drugs haul (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/7485365.stm)
As of a couple of weeks ago, Harry was in Edinburgh.

The course I'm on started in February of this year, when Harry was still in Afghanistan.
So no, none of the above, courtesy of public sources.

Well if its not Harry or Willy it would have to be Andrew wouldn't it?
But thats assuming its a british royality.
Ohohoh If it is can you tell him I'm head over heels in Love with his nephew? Dosnt matter which one they are both hot...but If I got to pick it would be Harry hands down. We would make amazing ginger kids together!

Big assumption.
I also assume that if it had been British royalty, and an Irishman like CT had a chance to kick him, the royal either didn't get up, or is now singing soprano in the choir.
But....lessee....who else has princes in this day and age, other than the UK? The nether regions have royalty. As do the Scandahoovians. The Spanish returned the royalty after Francisco Franco (who is still dead); do the Portuguese still have royalty? Hmmm....oh, yeah...there's the Saudis, the Hashemite rulers of Jordan, the Thais, and the Japanese; they all might have princes. Sikkim? Bhutan?

Retired naval officer? Why would he be attending an Army course for company grade / battalion staff officers? Don't worry, I'll let you all know when the course ends this month and he goes home.
