Smilin, what happened to you in the Clue game?

Life, family, and this little thing called responsibility got in the way.....

1. My daughter took a hard fall and busted her stitches out from her recent surgery, Friday afternoon.

2. Had a verbal fight with my health insurance on whether or not they would pick up the bill for her surgery.

3. And, last but not least, problems with my estranged wife.

But...all in all....life is STILL good!

Actually in Smiley Mafia Crumb forgot to send me my scum PM. Crazy world.

Also, I got my PM for this game.

I would speculate further, but I have a desire to never be godkilled again.

The Tick

That's the spirit.

Now, no further speculation on this 'getting PM' in this thread.

Good luck everybody.

Eh, it ain't all sunshine and puppies here either... but then again, I got no ex, no kids, and no debt :powerwoot:

...now if I can just figure out how to make it stay that way for a few decades...

- If he's town, then "taking one for the team" was his idea.

I already explained this is not such a bad idea on day 1. If you don't agree you are either wolf and playing stupid, or you seriously lack reading and comprehension skills. Either way the town is better off without you. vote sun tzu

I do agree. Now justify your vote.

 Nice post!

I read the rules twice but can't seem to find where it says if this game has reveal on death or not.

The Tick
07-10-2008, 07:12 PM
Roles will be revealed.

The Tick
07-10-2008, 07:38 PM
Just to let you guys know that I'm taking a brief trip, and have limited access to the Internet during the trip. Will be back around 17th day, and try to check Internet stuff on Monday.

Joshua Adams
07-10-2008, 07:59 PM
You won't be around for a week? Do you think it'd be good to appoint a backup GM to reveal the roles while you're away? I remember that Megatron has to leave in less than two weeks, and the game probably won't finish in time if we wait several days to start Day 2.

The Tick
07-10-2008, 08:03 PM
I'll try to find Internet on Monday :)

Nobody's here on weekends anyways.

Hmm... actually - if you manage to lynch somebody in the next 12 hours or so, I might be able to start day 2 as well tomorrow. ;)

The Tick
07-10-2008, 08:17 PM
One rule addition (for day/night 1 and day 2):
- If anybody in the game claims a special role, then werewolves may kill 2 persons on the night 1 (The Tick + anyone who claimed a special role)
- If werewolves kill 2 people in night 1, then there will be 2 day lynches on Day 2.
- Werewolves may still choose to kill just me on night 1 even if somebody claimed special. If this happens, then there will be normal 1 lynch on Day 2.
- After Day 2, the game continues normally (one lynch per day, one kill at night)

This is because I'm playing a villager role and I don't want that somebody somehow exploit the fact that "werewolves will kill The Tick" on night 1. If special roles are claimed, then the werewolves might kill one of those in addition.

Joshua Adams
07-10-2008, 11:30 PM
- If werewolves kill 2 people in night 1, then there will be 2 day lynches on Day 2.This scenario evens everything out in terms of night kills per lynch, but what about seer views? I think if the seer doesn't get one in between those lynches, they'll be one short.

The Tick
07-11-2008, 08:26 AM
Oh yes, that's a good note. I'll sort this out - perhaps :
- giving seer 2 views on night 1 (since werewolves get 2 kills, I think this could be pretty fair)

Before the game begun, I was thinking of giving the seer 1 view before Day 1 - so this kind of evens things out.

I think this is balanced enough & doesn't change the power setting much. It might slightly favor the town side, since The Tick is confirmed townie (or is he... :p) and wolves will need to kill him, but I suppose since there's only 8 *player* townies against 3 wolves that should be fine.

Naturally this will only occur if somebody makes a special role claim.

The Tick
07-11-2008, 08:27 AM
And that's FINAL decision.

If something seems unfair, then shite. Life is sometimes like that :)

Now - back to play.

I assume the Tick isn't actually going to vote, so there are really only 11 voters today. Shouldn't that mean we only need 6 to lynch?

I'm trying to figure out if needing 7 when there are only 11 voters is better for the town or the scum....

It seems like we'd be less likely to lynch scum since we would need more scum votes to reach 7 then we would to reach 6. Of course, we don't actually need any scum votes, since there are 8 townies, but you're unlikely to get 7 of 8 on the same person.

On the other hand, it also means the scum can't sit back as much, since they need to be voting to get a lynch eventually.

I think it favours the scum more than the town really, but I'm likely missing a number of factors.

Joshua Adams
07-11-2008, 10:09 AM
Doesn't matter who it favors, we can't change it now. James would be dead already if a lynch only required 6 votes.

Way to make the day end, sun.

Fwiw, like I said in the thread, bandwagon jumping isn't good for the town.

I guess you are town now, I can't imagine a wolf would vote for themselves as the last lynch. I fail to see how you can possibly think your play was good or helpful on this game.

Julie
07-13-2008, 07:17 PM
*nods* Sun seems to be a little all over the place this game. Not helpful to the Town, but I can't see a wolf dropping the hammer on themselves either.

Shit happens. Life is sometimes unfair to some people :D

Nevertheless, it's all gone now. New day just begun.

Um, son of a bitch, this may seem impossible, but I forgot that I'm going to Paris for the next 4 days. I won't be back until Monday

I suppose I didn't forget it so much as I never considered it would matter in regards to this game and forgot to adjust that view as the trip drew nearer.

Sorry folks. I've given my top suspects and this place slows right down on the weekends anyway. Hopefully I won't miss too much.... like me getting lynched or something. :missing:

Thanks, we will ;)

It's Sou's 40th and we have a king suite at the Hilton Paris with a balcony that has a lovely view of the Eiffel Tower (or so they tell me). All organised by me too! Well, mostly. :D

Sou tells me you're a Nestor fan too, he must be the most under appreciated Canadian athelete in history. Career Grand Slam now, plus the Olympic Gold... super awesome!

Julie
07-25-2008, 05:45 AM
OMG Sou is sooooo lucky to have you. Take lots of pictures so I can live vicariously through you!

And ya Nestor is something else eh?

*sigh* Now if only Weir could have some more consistancy in his game I'd be happy...If I may mix my golf with tennis ;)

OMG, you're a Weir fan too? Is bigamy legal in the UK? :giggle:

I follow Weir religously. I even went to the British Open this year on the Friday and followed him and Monty for the entire round. He has a website with a forum, it only really has activity when he's playing in a tournament, but I'm on there with the same name.

You can whine about that decision after the game is over...

...but it won't make a difference :)

Julie

LMAO Ya blame my Weir fandom on my parents. they made me watch golf and well now I do to. He's one of my favourites, just he's fustrating with his inconsistencies. He'd be a hoot to follow around tho!
