I'm out in the garden, photographing plants when this feeling comes over me that someone is watching me. I turn around and there's my dog sitting there watching me.

After a bit he tires and lays down.

Soon he's bored with me and must sniff the begonias.

Thanks, he is the best thing to come into my life recently. We went so long without owning a dog, that I forgot what a joy they are to be around. He had some problems when we first brought him home from the humane shelter, but with some training he turned out to be a great companion. Right now we are training him to not rush the chicken cage when we go outside. He hasn't quite gotten that they are not his playtoys. The chickens are getting used to him though and don't freak out when he forgets and runs up to them.

I like those types of dogs. I had a collie/blue heeler mix once and even at an advanced age I was able to train her not to attack the chickens.
I love that expression. Like he's waiting for applause.

I brought home a new dog from the local "pooch-n-cut" place.
I don't know this dog.
It certainly makes for a different dog when he isn't hiding behind his fur ball. He is really a muscular, stocky dog. No wonder he can jump so high after a frisbee.

Although ... that earstyle ... is that how the fashionable pooches are wearing them on your side of the world?

I don't know, the groomer suggest it, I shrugged and said yes, thinking it would give him character. I think it makes his head look too big. :giggles: I think next time we will have them leave his feathers on his legs and maybe not quite so short.
I do notice he seems to have more energy, as he can stay cooler now.
