Well, after years of resisting temptation, it looks like there's going to be an MMORPG that I'll have to play:

DC Universe Online (http://ps3.ign.com/articles/893/893273p1.html)

While you don't get to play as any of the established DC characters (which makes all kind of sense), you do get to interact with them in the game universe.

Not sure of all the details yet and not at all familiar with what are standard MMORPG conventions, but the comic fanboy in me is going to compel me to play this game.

Between this and Starcraft 2, I may be rebuilding my busted ass gaming PC after all.

Well, we'll see Starcraft 2 way before we'll see DCUO. I need a gaming rig. I've got a PC, but it is probably underpowered for all of these new games.

I'll have to take a "wait and see" position on this one. Initially I expect it will be overrun by mental pubescents and roleplayers, the feud between which groups is damned near Eternal.

I think I'd be a roleplayer....only because "metnal pubescents" has a negative connotation to it.

Other than the established universe I wonder how this will differ from City of Heroes (which is actually not a bad game).

I heard the other day it was the same game engine. But:

1) It was in WoW chat, and

2) I was drinking at the time

So typical day, huh? :D

Nah, I usually have chat turned off.

Really unimpressed by what I've seen.

Hmm, I wonder what that means - in practise :)

Seconded, I am thinking about dusting off my coh account. I love that game.
